More Than Just a Home

Mohlakeng Old Age Home sits in the heart of Mohlakeng, Randfontein, and serves as a beacon of hope for elderly residents who need care and support. We believe every person deserves a dignified life, regardless of age or circumstance.

Our approach centres on holistic care — addressing physical health, emotional well-being, and social connection. From daily nursing support to community events and volunteer visits, we create an environment where our residents can truly flourish.

MOAH thrives because of the generosity of our community. Corporate sponsors, individual donors, media houses, and everyday South Africans come together to ensure our elderly residents are cared for, respected, and loved.

Community Visit

702 Truck of Love with Spar

The 702 Truck of Love with Spar delivered much needed appliances, necessities and a few treats for the residents — who were overjoyed at the generosity.

Radio presenter Azania Mosaka visited the home personally to share in the joy and see first-hand the impact that community support can make. The visit brought smiles, tears of happiness, and a renewed sense of hope for all our residents.

67 Minutes of Service

Communication practitioners from several media houses dedicated their day for 67 Minutes on Mandela Day to get down to work at Mohlakeng Old Age Home.

Employees and management from Mind Share South Africa, based in Sunninghill, painted the dining hall, cleaned the floors, tended the garden and helped feed the elderly who are unable to do it themselves. It was a powerful demonstration of ubuntu in action.

Tender Loving Care

Life Style on Location gave some tender loving care with pedicures, manicures and foot or hand massages for our residents — a real treat for everyone involved.

While our residents were being pampered, Debonairs Pizza donated pizza and Albany Bread donated bread to the home. It was a day of joy, warmth, and genuine human connection that our residents still talk about fondly.

Be Part of Our Story

Whether it's a donation, a visit, or volunteering your time — every act of kindness makes a difference in the lives of our elderly residents.
